Arben Kallamata

Arben Kallamata studied at the Faculty of Philology at the University of Tirana and completed postgraduate studies at Harvard and Boston Universities. He has worked as an editor for the literary-artistic weekly “Drita” and as Deputy Director of Radio Tirana. Since 1997, he has been living in Canada. Arben Kallamata has translated, among others, two masterpieces by Xhorxh Orwell, “Ferma e kafshëve” and “1984,” the novel “Xhuxhët” by Harold Pinter, as well as the book “Raportimi dhe shkrimi i lajmeve” by Melvin Mençer. In addition to his journalism published in Albanian and Canadian media, he is the author of the novels “Kronikë bastardësh ose canis familiaris” (1997), “Hijet e muzgut” (2019), and “Un mort” (2022), and the short story collection “Vizita e Fundit” (2024).
