Flurans Ilia, was born in Berat in 1971. He is a writer and poet , the author of several books of poetry and short stories published throughout the 2000s, as well as the novel “Jashtë sezonit” (Out of Season), Buzuku, 2013. 

He is presenting in the Albanian Book Fair in Toronto with his poetry collection “Hapësirë midis dy notave” (Space Between Two Notes), Jozef Publishing, 2022 and his short story collection “Katër palë flatra” (Four Pairs of Wings), Jozef Publishing, 2023). 

Ilia is featured in several anthologies of Albanian poetry and short stories. After a nomadic life between Europe and America, in 2008 he settled permanently in Montreal, Canada.
